THE WORLD SUPPORTS THE #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS CAMPAIGN

The recent kidnapping of the Chibok school girls by the deadly Boko Haram sect has become a major focus in the present Nigerian situation and it has drawn a lot of attention within the country and worldwide. The girls were abducted from their school premises while preparing to sit for the West African Examinations Council papers.


Over the last few weeks, millions around the world have joined the social media campaign asking for the release of the girls.
For instance, the First Lady of The United States of America, Michelle Obama, spoke on the “Tragic Kidnaping in Nigeria” during a weekly address to mark Mother’s Day on Saturday 10th May. Similarly, statesmen, celebrities and a people from different backgrounds worldwide have continued to lend their voices in the #bringbackourgirls  campaign. The lists of a few who are actively involved in the social campaign are listed below:
Mary J. Blige, Fally Ipupa, Ziggy Marley, Ramaa Morley, Puff Daddy, Jamie Foxx, Genevieve Nnaji, Beverely Osu, Angelina Jolie, Piers Morgan, Ellen Degeneres, Stella Damasus, Alicia Keys, Mo Abudu, Aisha Sesay, Janelle Monae, Leona Lewis, Adam Schulman, Chris Brown, Anne Hathaway, Keri Hilson, Banky W, Kim Kardashian, Victor Moses, Daddy Showkey, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar ………. and a host of others.

There were also series of rallies around the world. A few of the spots were Nigerian Embassy in Washington  DC, Unity fountain in Abuja, Union Square in New York City, Morgan State University in Baltimore, Leeson Park, Dublin, Providence Rhode Island, States around Nigeria, the list goes on and on.
We at NSCI are not only lending our voice to say #BRING BACK OUR GIRLS, but also calling on all and sundry to support governments determined effort to see to the safe return of our Angels to their families.
